WHAT’S NEW IN QUICKBOOKS 2020 (pro, premier and accountant)

So the QuickBooks desktop team has done it again

While some years the new version has some basic upgrades, this year they’ve pulled off some magic and implemented many things you will actually use. If you are interested in these features and are considering an upgrade, we always get great pricing and always pass these discounts on to you. So please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Automated Payments Reminders

My favorite feature they have implemented is the “Automated Payment Reminders”. Yes, this is exactly what you think it is and I know you have been asking for this for a while. They have finally implemented it and I am SO excited. To be clear the QuickBooks software will now, not only identify the overdue invoices, but it will also compose an email and send payment reminders. This is all based on your schedule. It’s going to automate your receivable process immensely and save a ton of time. I would anticipate this will bring in money much faster… who doesn’t love that?

Automatically add Customer PO# to Invoice emails

Another Feature QuickBooks has added to their Invoicing Function is the ability to add PO#’s to the email subject line when sending invoices. For you customers that properly use their purchase orders, this will help them easily identify which PO to tie to your invoice. This again, will save time from unnecessary email and phone calls trying to identify which PO your invoices are tied to… magic right?

Combine Multiple Emails

How many times have you chased down a customer that has a ton of open invoices? You finally get them on the phone and what do they say? “Oh, I had no idea! Please send me all the invoices and I will get them paid today”. That is when the eye-roll happens and then you spend a significant amount of time saving invoices as PDF’s and compiling all in one email. Seems like a good idea, until the customer asks you to provide a link to pay online. So now you have to go back and either send all the invoices, individually, out of QuickBooks; Or create a mock invoice for the total payment due and then follow with another work around.

Well… guess what? You don’t have to do that anymore. You now have the ability to combine all invoices for a single customer into a single email. How cool is that??? I am so excited for the QuickBooks community as a whole. This is pretty cool!!
